Life is Good...oh and pretty stinkin hot too...

Well this entry will be all over the place, so bear with me.
Can I just say that I chose to live in Oregon (or rather by the grace of the good Lord am I here) for a reason. I dont like hot very much. I dont mind "warm" or "pretty warm with a cool breeze" as often we get here in Oregon. But today was uncool. Just really really uncool. Literally and figuratively speaking. It is still about 87 degrees outside, I believe. I am actually sitting in the basement of a overwhelmingly air conditioned house, and sweating. So I hear tomorrow is going to be the same. I think tomorrow's gonna be one of those days where I wont mind going to work. I cant believe that I just said that, but there ya go. My office is always a cool 67 degrees and that sounds like heaven right about now. Now I didnt say I was going to actually do work when I get there, did I?

Well things are good. Life is good! I lived with a dude in Australia who used to always yell "Life izzzzz goood-ah!" Sounds much better if you could actually hear it, but you can imagine. But that is how I feel. There is a lot of good around me at the moment, and it's quite rarely that I can take a moment and take it all in. So I feel the need to do that here in this blog. The guy that taught me that's name was Renzo, but I called him his last name, Tuioti. Great guy. I actually just got back in touch with him and it's so rad. That's gotta be one of the best feelings, to reconnect with old friends. And this guy was a warrior. We were pretty much warriors together for a time. We had each others backs, and we knew it. It feels really good to know that someone out there has your back. Everyone needs someone like that, I think. Someone to lean on. Someone to rely on. It sounds disgustingly cliche to say that, but...well I just said it. So there.

So I was sitting there the other night just watching the tube, and the rodeo came on the TV. I really love watching bull riding. No joke. You gotta admit, it's one of those things that should be on everyone's list of things to do before you die. I think I am going to put it on my list. It's definitely one of those things that really takes guts to do. I am not sure if they would ever let a rookie like myself ever do that, but I am sure they would. Just gotta find the right place. So I have been thinking about this an awful lot lately. I have a slight hesitation with something like bullriding. And it's when they pray. Now I am all about praying for anything and everything, but think about it. There you are, not knowing anything about what you're about to do. You look around for maybe some encouragement or some last minute pointers. And you see your buddy. Trouble is, he can't give you any pointers. He is praying. And hard. Uhhh can't be a good sign, right? Anyway, I found this video the other day on YouTube. Maybe this has something to do with bullriders praying, you decide. Here is the link: (oh and pay special attention to the announcer in the background commentating on everything...yeah everything.)

Simply amazing. I dont know whether to laugh at that or cry.

Enjoy. See you all next time.
