Did you cheer when Bonds hit No. 755?

Ummm no. Actually, I threw up a little bit in my mouth.

That was the question posed to me via the Internet as I sat at my computer tonight. I am so sick of all this Barry Bonds coverage. Can it get any more annoying?? I mean really?? At this point I would rather watch an entire day of golf, than witness any more homers by Barry. Hey ESPN, can you please just stop these annoying "live look-ins" for Bond's at-bats and maybe just play them in the Bay Area? Would that be too much to ask for? I think not, seeing as they are the only ones who would really care to witness "history" being made.

There are two reasons people drink alcohol in this world. One reason is to celebrate anything and everything, and the other is to numb pain or forget something. If I drank alcohol, tonight would definitely be a "drown my sorrows" night. Not only because Bonds tied the HR record, but mainly because I get to hear about every minute of Barry Bond's life from now until he retires. Which hopefully will be one day very soon. Hey I can hope right?

And the other thing that bugs me a lot about this Barry Bonds business, is all the PC crap that you hear when you tune into ESPN or Fox or any other news station for that matter. I understand that in this country we're innocent until proven guilty. But it seems that every commentator who talks about Bonds is scared to death of mentioning that maybe he took something (and it's quite obvious that he has, but why should we worry about that). They are ignoring the big pink elephant in the room, so to speak. I mean, sure they don't want to outright trash Barry on national TV, and I can understand that. But do they all have to sugar coat everything they say about Barry?? It just really bugs me, that's all. Actually anything that is PC'd to death in this country drives me absolutely nuts, but that's another blog entry for another day.

So it just so happens that today was also the day that A-Rod hit his 500th home run of his career. Big friggin deal, right? I mean, okay, it's cool enough. But the way he reacted to the home run made him look like a tool. Here check the pic out.

He stood there for about 6 seconds. Just so you know, the ball was fair by about 30 feet. No need to really stand there and admire it. Start running the bases a-hole. I will say this about Alex Rodriguez though. The guy really bugs me, everything about him bugs me. But I will be rooting for him now to smash Bond's so called "home run record." But yeah he's still a big jerk.

So just to recap, it was a sad day in the sports world today.

Also, if you want to be entertained just check out that picture of Barry now and Barry a few years ago. Simply amazing.
