Drew's Money Picks: Week 10

This is probably the best week for college football all season long. Things are getting to be a little bit clearer, as far as who the top teams in the country are. Well, all except Boston College. But that goes without saying right?

And finally, this week, the entire nation gets to see how good the Pac-10 is. The Oregon vs. Arizona State game was picked up at the last minute by ESPN, so that it could be broadcast nationally, and not just regionally on the west coast.

Right now, generally speaking, I am thinking an Oregon/LSU national title game might be in the future. But I don't want to make that official or anything, it's just a gut feeling at this point. I just don't think that BC and Ohio State will be atop the national rankings come mid-December. I don't know, call me crazy.

(21) Wisconsin at (1) ohio state
I don't what it is, but I must love picking games involving the ohio state. Well maybe I do know what it is. I want to see them lose, and since Penn State did a horrible job of sticking it to the Buckeyes at home, someone else will have to do the honors. Call me a hater, but I am going to go against ohio state once again. This time, I am basing my pick on what has happened the last three times Wisconsin has visited Columbus: Wisconsin has won all three. The Badgers win this one 18-14.

(3) LSU at (17) Alabama
Honestly, I have picked against LSU enough this year. Frankly, it hasn't ever worked out that well for me. I just think they're a good solid team and they've proved that thus far. This is going to be a great game, and it should be a pretty close score as well. Alabama has been up and down this year, but their wins are big wins. I just don't see them pulling away from LSU at all in this game. I think LSU is strong enough to finish out the year strong, without losing again. LSU wins 21-14.

(4) Arizona State at (5) Oregon
Game of the week for sure, and maybe even game of the year. Yes I know that I said the very same thing about the USC-Oregon game last week, but this one is even bigger. And who knows, there could be at least one or two more "biggest games of the year", the way this college football season is going. It all changes so much week to week. In this game, I just don't see the Sun Devils coming into Autzen and pushing Oregon around, like they have to all the other teams they've played. I think the defenses in this game will play much better than anyone expects. Oregon's offense is just too dynamic to stop all day long. Ducks win 27-17.

These picks just keep getting harder and harder. At this rate, I am just looking for a finish to the season, at 50% or better. I will consider my money picks a success if I can keep above .500 for the year. Enjoy the games people.
