Okay, so maybe I've just been sayin it since November 11, but still.
I was happy to hear about Hawaii getting a bid to play in the Sugar Bowl. I was glad because I believed that they deserve a shot at a big time bowl. They are matched up with the Georgia Bulldogs, not an easy matchup. It's going to be an interesting game.
This game could go either way, if you ask me. Hawaii could follow in the shoes of their conference-mate Boise State. Georgia could roll over Hawaii's less-than-stellar defense. After Boise State beat Oklahoma in last year's Fiesta Bowl, there is no way to know how this game is going to go. It's probably the one BCS bowl game that I am looking forward to watching the most.
I don't have a prediction for any of these games yet. My predictive power is something that I cannot control and comes and goes. But when that power happens upon me, you will all be the first people to know. Side note -- here is an interesting case about Hawaii deserving a shot at Ohio State in the national title game. Now I don't know if I would go that far and say that they should be in the title game. But with the way this season has played out, I don't see why not.
Still even though I was correct about Hawaii, this college football season has been a disaster. As I'm sure you've heard everywhere you've turned, we need a college football playoff. If not an 8 team playoff, at least give us a Plus-1 game after the national title game.
