Earlier today, I found my way over to Clackamas Town Center. Drove up there to meet the girlfriend and we were hoping to do some registering for the wedding. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me!) it was like every other couple in the vicinity had the same exact idea. So the wedding registry had to wait until another day.
Instead, I convinced Jamie to come with me to see the movie '21.' Quick side note--the new movie theatres at Clackamas Town Center are niiiiiiice. I won't be going anywhere else to see a movie in the near future. The theatre we were in was so big that we didn't have to deal with the always-annoying fellow movie-goers. I think that last phrase made sense, right? Anyways...
This movie was pretty well done. There wasn't a lot of character development so you never really feel connected to any of the characters. The relationship between Kate Bosworth's character and Ben Campbell is a bit confusing. Not sure when it starts and if/when it stops. But that's not the main story anyway I suppose. The only other thing besides no character development that I would say is a negative, is that everything is pretty predictable in the end. They try a couple plot twists right at the end, but you can see them coming from a mile away.
But overall, it was a quality flick and worth the price of admission. It was a fun movie to watch and is pretty captivating if you're interested in blackjack and counting cards and what not. Oh and Kate Bosworth is looking real good throughout this one, and a hot chick in an above average movie always helps.
I'll give this one 4.35 out of 5. And I'll give Kate Bosworth a 5 out of 5 every time!
