Let's Get This Kansas-Memphis Title Pick Done

Well the 2008 college basketball season is winding down tonight.  The last game of the season will feature the two best teams in the country, Kansas and Memphis.

Remember a few weeks ago, when I let everyone in on how crappy my bracket went?  Well they still turned out pretty pedestrian.  But since those first couple of days, things actually turned out a little bit better than I was imagining.  I know I told you that I wouldn't talk about it again, but the evening of the title game, it seems worth bringing up again.

I was way off in my Elite 8 picks, picking 5 of 8.  But the Final 4 was a little kinder, with 3 of 4 turning out correct there.  And somehow it was a fluke that I picked Kansas to win it all from the beginning.  Not such a bad pick now that I think about it.

So Memphis and Kansas go head to head tonight.  Who ya got?  Of course, I got Kansas winning the game 77-69 and pushing my bracket to the top of my league.  Boo-yah.  How do you like them apples, boys?

Side: It's going to be a great final win at Kansas for their coach Bill Self, because if the rumors are true in any way, and he's getting this kind of offer from Oklahoma State, he's gone.  Although OK State is nowhere near the kind of coaching job that Kansas is, but OK State is also where Bill Self went to school and where he played ball himself.  Hell, I would coach anywhere if I was getting paid a smooth $10 million in year one, and $3-4 mill every year after that.  Not to mention my alma mater.  Wouldn't you do the same?
