Playoff Hockey: The Only Time of Year That Hockey is Tolerable

Well it's that time of year again.  Playoff time in the NHL.
I have never really considered myself a hockey fan.  If you randomly ask me if I "follow" hockey, I will tell you no every time.  But it's an entirely different story when the NHL playoffs roll around.  For the better part of my morning, I actually found myself watching the game two between Detroit and Nashville.  And I didn't flip the channel at all.  Usually a hockey game is something that I flip past.  There were about three different times when I had to stop and ask myself, "Dude, are you really sitting here watching a hockey game?"
And every time the answer was yes.  Surprisingly yes.
Thing is, is playoff hockey is rad.  It's really the only time that hockey counts, and in my humble opinion, the only time hockey is worth tuning in to watch.  So I found myself pretty happy that there are a few weeks left of playoff hockey.  If I had the Versus channel here at the parent's house, I am thinking I would watch a whole lot more.
Oh and here's to the Washington Capitals winning it all.  Honestly, besides it being "playoff hockey" time, the only other reason to watch is the stud that is Alex Ovechkin, who did this the other night in his first ever playoff game.
