LA Lakers 106, Portland 101 OT

Last night, I was so exhausted from following somewhat-empty trade rumors all day long, I completely ignored the Lakers and Blazers.  I know, I know, how can I do something like that and call myself a fan, right?

But I was so worn out by all the rumors flying around and then suddenly dying, only to be rekindled once again...that I just was on Blazer overload, so to speak.

When I miss entire games, I try to borrow from others who actually watched the game.  Here is Dave from Blazersedge's "In A Nutshell" rundown about the game:

"After a beautiful first half by both teams, each playing to their strengths and game plans, the Blazers and Lakers turn the second half into a titanic defensive struggle.  Portland fares quite well, taking an 8-point lead into the final 4:20 of the game.  But too much Kobe Bryant and too many three-point misses from the Blazers allow L.A. to close the gap and send the game into overtime.  The Lakers work inside during the extra period while the Blazers continue to bomb.  Late Portland miscues foil any attempt at a miracle finish."

So we pretty much gagged it away against the Lakers.  I'm sort of glad I didn't watch it.  It may have brought back those horrible memories of the 2000 WCF against the Lakers.  Thinking of that series still makes me sick, people.
