Club Dread is the Best and Worst Movie I've Ever Seen

So since I have had this whole past week off of work, I have had some time to check out some movies. Some have been great (Shooter) and some haven't been so great ( saw American Pie 2 on TV). Last night I picked up the movie Club Dread and popped it in. What happened next was a strange. I witnessed both the best movie I have ever seen and the worst movie I have ever seen. Here's why:

Why it was the worst: First of all, the cover has a quote from Thelma Adams from Us Weekly that says "Hilariously funny." Uhhhhhhh okay...wrong and wrong. Who in the bloody hell does Thelma think she is? One of two things has got to be true about ol' Thelma: a) she was paid like ten bucks to say the movie was funny or b) she is retarded. Plain and simple. I laughed once during the entire movie. Once. Hardly enough to make this movie "hilariously funny" in the slightest. One laugh doesn't even qualify it as a comedy. Hell one laugh doesn't even qualify it as a friggin drama. Oh and they have Bill Pullman cast as the main character "Coconut Pete", the owner of the club and spoof character of Jimmy Buffett. Ok I guess the funny part about that is that it's Bill freaking Pullman trying to be funny? Am I close? It's really a crappy movie. Really really crappy.

Why it was the best: This is a little easier. Two words. Brittany Daniel. Six more words. In a bikini the whole movie. Good Lord, she is hot. That's all I have. There is nothing else I need to say to explain myself. It's just glorious eye candy in the form of Brittany Daniel the entire time!

So there you go. Remember, if you're going to rent this movie (it's really not worth it), you can get away with just muting the whole damn movie, doing something else more productive and glancing at the TV every now and again to catch a glimpse of Brittany Daniel.
