Yes, Tony Romo is my new American Idol. I want to be him. I don't just want to be him for a day or a week or even a year. I want to trade him spots and he can take over being Drew Davenport (not a half bad deal, by the way). But why would I want to be him, you may ask?
Is it because he is the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys heading into training camp this year? Is it because he has practically everyone in the country rooting for him to do well and succeed, after riding the bench for 4 yrs? Or maybe it's the fairy tale story of him coming out of virtually nowhere to be beloved by millions and could very well lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl in 2008?
Yeah well all of that is fine and great or whatever. But none of those reasons hold a candle to what makes him my personal hero. Four words: He's dating Carrie Underwood.

Let's compare, shall we? Tony Romo has a lot of money, but not LOTS of money. He has fame but he's not THAT famous. And he is the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. Hey if that's all she's looking for, check this out.
Me, I got some money from time to time. As for fame, hey people generally know who I am. And I may not be the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys, but I scored at least 2 touchdowns playing flag football back in the day. At LEAST two, people. And I played some real nasty defense too.
So ummmm, I don't see very much difference. I really don't. Ladies, please tell me if you see something that I am missing here, by all means.
Anyway, I still have a chance. Until he puts a ring on her finger, I got a shot. Hell, even if they do get hitched, he better keep her close.
