They have done it to me again.
Why do they seem to do this every year?? The Beavers keep breakin my heart. They lost tonight to Cincinnati 34-3. I am not even sure they were even in the stadium when the game was supposed to be playing.
I knew that they would have a tough game against Cincinnati tonight, but not this tough. Not losing 34-3 kind of tough game. It's really embarrassing actually. Last year they were stomped on by Boise State (given Boise State is a little more nationally feared than Cincinnati) and now this stupid loss tonight.
I feel that I should take a break from all the expectations. I mean, I am only 26 yrs old. I don't think this stuff is good for my heart. Maybe I will start watching the Beavs sometime.....ummmmm...next freakin year. I guess I need to just let my mind rejoice in every game that the Beavs win from this point on (assuming there are going to be some more wins.). Expectations are such heart breaking things all the time.
Now I get to hear all the nonsense about how bad the Pac-10 is compared to all the other conferences. Blah blah blah. I've heard it all before, and it usually isn't true. Sure the Pac-10 probably isn't the best conference in the nation, but it's not like this one win by Cincy makes the Big East THAT much better. It all usually evens out.
So anyway, this is how I have to go to bed tonight, dammit.
