Yep you read that correctly. I am totally famous now. Radio has just launched my status to the next level. There is no going back now. People across America will soon know me by name. And I owe it all to Mr. Doug Gottlieb of ESPN Radio.
I am sitting at work today, working on finishing some stuff up. Actually I was just goofing around. Playing around with my newly drafted fantasy football team and checking some other things on the internet. I was also listening to The Pulse on ESPN Radio.
Doug Gottlieb was in the studio with some fantasy football expert and they were talking about a fantasy draft that Gottlieb was doing while he was on the air. They were taking questions via phone and email about fantasy stuff as well, of course. So I thought I would give it a shot and I would email a question into them in hopes that they might write me back or something with an answer.
Well, they did one better. They read my email on the air. And then answered my awesome question in front of the entire nation! It went something like "Andrew in Portland writes....(insert my email here)." It actually took me a second to realize the words he was reading on the air were the exact words I had typed to him a couple of minutes before that.
It was freaking sweet. Being a guy, and a guy who loves sports, it's sorta a big deal when something like this happens. Would have been waaay cooler to actually call in to the show, but still. When I heard it, a huge smile broke out across my face. Couldn't stop smiling for a few minutes at least. As a matter of fact, I am still smiling. Drew Davenport, celebrity. It's got a nice ring to it.
I have been trying to locate the podcast of the segment all night, but no luck yet. I hope that I can find it so I can share with y'all. But since I can't find the audio clip at the moment, this hot pic of Carrie Underwood is going to have to do for now. Enjoy...
