My Unemployment: The Aftermath

So I've heard from a lot of people wondering if my last post was for real. Well yes, it is true. As of the new year, I will be officially unemployed. And since the company isn't going to be able to pay us for the vacation time that we have left, I decided to jump ship early and take my remaining vacation.

So, all things being equal, I am pretty much unemployed as of right now.

And it's quite a weird feeling, to be honest. Part of me is excited, part of me is uncertain. I've never done anything else but work at this company since I got back from Australia in 2002. I don't know much else besides the mortgage business.

Don't get me wrong, I mean, I have many finely tuned skills and stuff. And after working in the mortgage biz for four plus years, I know a thing or two about business, and finance and all that crap. But the tricky part about the whole "getting a new job" thing, is finding a job that will pay me what I was making at my old job.

While my mind has been busy brainstorming what the possibilities are for my new career choice, I know one thing. I am going to be taking a couple of months off from "Job Land." But I am not going to completely turn off the responsibility in my life. I will be going to school and will be working towards finishing this stupid thing called an associates degree. Don't hate. But even with school, if anyone wants to hang, let's just say I will most likely be available.

So before I go, I would like some feedback from y'all. I have a few awesome new career choices brewing in this head of mine, but I would love to hear any suggestions that you have. So feel free to email me with the ideas you may have.

Take it easy people, because for the next two months, you know that I will be.
