Can't this guy just make up his mind?!? I mean, damn Tony. Reports from the New York Daily News are saying that Tony Romo has dumped the lovely Jessica Simpson. The word on why he dumped her? Check it. "Tony is now starting to blame her himself," a pal told OK! magazine. "Before dating Jessica, he was Texas' golden boy. Now he's become a joke."
(Side: Now keep in mind, this story/source in the NYDN isn't the most credible, so who knows if this is, in fact, the truth. But still, it's pretty nuts if it's indeed true.)
Okay, tell me this: what is the problem with being a joke and dating Jessica Simpson? Personally, I think that dating Jessica freakin Simpson holds enough cred to show that you are, in fact, not a joke. I would think you could still consider him a "Texas golden boy." Am I way off here people?
Personally, if I was dating Jessica Simpson, I wouldn't mind losing in the second round of the NFL playoffs one little bit. Would you care that much about losing if you were going home to Jessica every night? I don't get what Tony Romo can't figure out about dating really really hot chicks (he also dumped Carrie Underwood last season.), obviously he doesn't get it or can't handle it or something.
Here is a list of things I wouldn't mind happening to me, if I was dating Jessica Simpson:
1. Losing to the NY Giants in the playoffs 21-17.
2. Playing in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders.
3. Hell, even playing for the lowly Miami Dolphins.
4. Even better, riding the bench for the Miami Dolphins.
5. Being dirt poor for the rest of my life.
6. Driving a 1985 Ford Tempo for the rest of my life.
7. Putting up with Jessica Simpson's dads stupid publicity antics.
8. Lose the use of one of my legs forever.
Just a short list there, but you get the point. And yeah, I know that last one is a little over the top, but it's really how I feel.
Anyway, I guess we'll see in the next few days if this breakup is for real, so there ya go. In summary: Tony Romo's an idiot, and Jessica Simpson is still the hottest woman on the planet.
(Update: Well it seems like this story is all hogwash. Dangit. Here's the real story. It seems much more credible than the Daily News story. It's all there, you can even read the legal docs. Sorry to get you all worked up people. False alarm. So just pay attention to the part of my post about how much I love Jessica Simpson. That's the good part.)
