Late Nite Super Prediction

I suppose I could ramble on and on about this game that's taking place tomorrow. I will be on the edge of my seat rooting for the Pats, of course. I'll be honest, I haven't had a lot of time this week to sit around and soak in all the hype and hooplah surrounding the big game. I've been moving into my parents house. Sounds like loads of fun huh? I bet you all wish you could trade me places, huh?

One of the cool things about this week, though, has been how I've been able to avoid most of the nauseating never-ending media hype surrounding the Super Bowl. You would think that hearing all week long how good and dominating the Patriots are, would be music to my ears. And sometimes it is. But still, it can get really old quite fast.

There's one thing that bugs me about all the hype talk leading up to this Super Bowl. It's funny how over the progression of the week, it seems like everyone in the media has gradually talked themselves into thinking that the Giants are some great unknown and mysterious powerhouse team. I think everyone is just fooling themselves and picking the Giants has become the trendy pick.

Yes, the Giants are a decent team. Yes, they definitely have a chance of winning. I mean, they are one of the two teams in the Super Bowl. They have a better chance of winning this game, than 30 other NFL teams, right? But it's not like they were just coasting all year long and now they have some secret weapon that New England isn't going to be ready for in this game. The Giants are still the Giants people. All you need to know about New England is that they are 18-0, and not by accident. I think everyone has forgotten that. Oh well though.

So with that in mind, I'm taking the Patriots to win big 44-20.
