As of Right Now, My Favorite Sport is Golf

Anyone else randomly feel like driving to the range to hit a bucket of balls??  Wow, I sure do.  And if Molly Sims happened to show up at the range, that'd be pretty alright if you ask me.

I don't know what has gotten into me these past three days, but something is going on.  Maybe it's these allergies that have absolutely crippled me for the last day and a half.  Maybe it's the fact that the NBA Finals aren't very exciting (or maybe they're just fixed).  Maybe I'm just getting old!  That could be it.  But this past weekend of golfing, dare I say, action has been quite the show.

I just got done earlier watching pretty much all of the 18-hole playoff between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate.  Well, I was switching back and forth between that and playing some Madden 08.  I honestly think I've logged the most golf-watching in any one period in my entire life.  And I'm not really that ashamed to admit that.

Rocco Mediate was awesome today.  Even though Tiger won, Rocco never backed down, and for that you've gotta give him some props.  I turned away from the playoff when Rocco was down 3 strokes and didn't think when I turned back to NBC, that Tiger would need to birdie the last hole just to force a sudden death playoff.  Simply amazing.

All in all, this past weekend made me want to tune into golf a little more.  I feel like I owe the game of golf to watch the final round of the next major, which is the British Open.  And that is about the strongest commitment I can make.  By the way, here are some of Tiger's amazing shots from the third day.
