Sports Marketing Has Reached a New Low

Today, on the Dan Patrick show, Dan brought up that Kevin Garnett's awkward yelling last week after Boston had won the NBA title could have been just a big act.  Yep, his emotional outburst might have just been faked.

In hour 2 of Dan's show, he talked a little bit about it.  He said that Garnett may have actually been shooting a commercial for Adidas when he was being interviewed by Michelle Tafoya.  He cited this article, by Darren Rovell, where Rovell claims that Garnett was (allegedly) trying to yell the tagline from his Adidas ad campaign last year.  And if he was, in fact, trying to "shoot his commercial, he totally butchered the slogan.  The slogan is actually "Impossible is Nothing", not "Anything is Possible."  Even with him butchering the slogan, I am sure Adidas is now going to change their slogan to match what Garnett was yelling.  So I'm sure we're all going to get to see Kevin Garnett yelling 'anything is possible' in an Adidas commercial a couple hundred times or so.

Whatever KG was trying to do, that post game interview was the most awkward thing I've seen on TV in the past 6 months or so.
