The only star that the Oregon State Beavers have on their roster has been freaking everyone out and probably causing widespread panic in Corvallis with a couple of his recent tweets.
The first tweet said, "Money over Everything." And the second tweet said, "Opportunity of a lifetime, don't let it pass." This is definitely not what Beaver fans want Rodgers to be tweeting about.
Paul Buker of the Oregonian has the full story here. In regards to Quizz's draft stock, Buker notes that NFL scouts don't think it will make much of a difference whether Rodgers stays for his senior season or not. His draft stock is not expected to improve much at all by doing that.
From Buker's story on OregonLive:
Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com emailed Thursday that “nothing has changed in scouts' minds on Rodgers. … there are expected to be several underclassmen running backs declare early.
“Mark Ingram at Alabama, Ryan Williams from Virginia Tech, Mikel LeShoure at Illinois, and potentially Chris Polk from Washington are the four backs that I could see going ahead of Rodgers, which keeps his stock in the mid-second to mid-third round.
“His stock isn't likely to change this year (or next) due to the fact that the only real question about him is his height, which obviously isn't going to change.’’
It's not making a bold declaration by any means, but our feeling is that Quizz will end up coming back. Because of the same reasons LaMike James is (really) staying at Oregon. They're short and small and that sort of thing is an unknown in the NFL and not in high demand at the moment.
