Earlier today, Blazers GM Rich Cho announced that Brandon Roy is going to be sitting down "indefinitely" due to continued pain in both of his knees. More from Cho in Jason Quick's article:
Cho said the team has discussed shutting down Roy for the season, but they are not ready to go that route yet. “We’ve talked about (ending his season) and it’s a possibility, but we want to explore a couple of other things first,’’ Cho said.
Cho said the team is still in the information-gathering stages of those other options, but he hopes to have more answers and a direction by next week.
Coach McMillan described the current situation with what has happened to Brandon and Greg Oden. "It's like a tornado almost," McMillan said. "Things sitting pretty. Sunny day. And just looking bright. And all of the sudden, something comes through, and ..Boom! All of the sudden, you have a lot of moving parts, a lot of moving pieces."
And as you might expect, there is a chance (which is probably pretty good) that BRoy will have to shut it down for the rest of this season.
