The Texas Longhorns Are Looking For A Defensive Coordinator. Submit Your Application Now.

So over the weekend, the University of Florida found its replacement for the departed Urban Meyer.  They went out and got Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, who likes to yell a lot.  He's practically a YouTube legend for yelling, by the way.  Anyway, the interesting part of him leaving was that he was the official "Head Coach in Waiting".  Until he wasn't, I guess.

Hey, I don't really blame the guy.  Without getting into all the X's and O's of the move, I wouldn't mind leaving a job that pays me $900,000 a year, to one that pays me about $2.5 million a year.  Sounds simple enough to me.

Now Texas' football program is somewhat in a state of turmoil.  Losing most of their coaching staff probably isn't going to be a good thing for the program, considering the awful 5-7 season that finally mercifully ended.

But hey, you could be the one to turn the program around.  Yes, you.  (No, not really.)  Just go here and fill out the online application for their vacant defensive coordinator position.  Crazy huh?  Not that I go looking for online applications to be a college defensive coordinator very often, but I had no idea that they even put up an official job opening for stuff like this.  It's a pretty interesting read.  Our favorite parts:

1.  Under the Hours Per Week section at the top, it says 40, followed by the word "variable."  We're guessing it's going to a tad more than just 40 hours a week.
2.  How it says the position is open to "all applicants."  C'mon, really?  Everyone?
3.  It's funny how in the section "Working Conditions" at the bottom of the page, you find "climbing of stairs" and "climbing of ladders."  Huh?
