KG really needs to just get popped in the mouth |
Look, you pretty much have to admit that Kevin Garnett is a big time asshole, no matter who you are. Even if you're a Boston Celtics fan or a KG fan, I don't care. You have to be delusional if you can't admit that Garnett is a jerk. Some Celtic fans can admit it, and some cannot. In fact, there is so much evidence of Garnett's antics out there, that you could probably start a whole website devoted to just how big of a jerk KG is. And you would have something to write about most every day of the season. Trust me, we've thought about it a time or two ourselves. Someone has probably already beat us to the punch with that idea, actually. But that is neither here nor there.
For an avid KG-hater, like we are, Spike Lee's interview with ESPN New York was like music to our ears.
And suddenly, Spike Lee seemed like much cooler of a guy to us. This is what he says about the last time the Celtics visited Madison Square Garden:
"But this last time against Boston -- you know that game where they disallowed Stoudemire’s 3? -- Kevin Garnett lost it. He was cursing me out for no reason. Maybe because Stoudemire gave him 39 points, but take that vulgarity to Stoudemire. I'm not holding you and I did not even say s*** to Garnett the whole game. That really surprised me. He lost it. He was cursing at me the whole game. He needs to calm the f*** down."
"I hate the Celtics, but look, they've got good guys on that team. I've got friends on that team. Nate’s on the team. But Garnett needs to calm the f*** down. There's no reason he should be cursing at me the way he did the last game. So you can put that in the article. It was disrespectful and I would never do nothing like that to him."
"So if you're mad, start cursing out STAT, Stoudemire. But you're not going to do that s*** because Stoudemire’s not going to take it. So he cursed at me and I’m 5-6½, 150. What he was saying was worse than Reggie Miller. It was uncalled for."
Just great stuff there on how over-the-top Garnett can be. And it's interesting -- and this point has been made before -- that Garnett is always picking on guys that are smaller than him. Always. Go back and check the tape, if you don't believe me. He'll never challenge a bigger name than him on the court.
What a tough guy, huh?
